Andrew Degenhart, 87, Brighton, died Friday, March 21, at Beverly Manor Nursing Home.

Born September 29, 1887 in Pfeifer, Kansas he came to Brighton in 1918 with his family. He farmed west of Brighton for many years.

His first wife, Margaret, died in 1954. He married Fay Sisneros June 4, 1955 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Brighton.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday evening at St. Augustine’s Church with Father Patrick Kennedy celebrant. Rosary and committal services were held Tuesday morning (today) at 9:30 a.m. at St. Germain’s Mortuary and Elmwood Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jack Degenhart, Stanley Lozinski Jr., Robert Lozinski, Ronald Degenhart and Kenneth List.

He is survived by his wife; children Ted Degenhart, Boulder, Albert Degenhart, Marcus Degenhart, both of Brighton, Peggy Potter, Wisconsin, Mildred Lozinski, Dacono, and Irene Hoffman, Denver.
