Albert G. Degenhart of Brighton, a rancher, died Wednesday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 79. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rice Mortuary, 100 S. Third Ave., Brighton. Interment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 29, 1913 in Kansas. He served in the Army during World War II and was decorated with three Bronze Stars. Degenhart attended St. Augustine's Catholic Church.

He is survived by a brother, Marcus, Brighton; two sisters, Irene Hoffman, Brighton, and Mildred Lozinski, Longmont; and a half-sister, Clara Braungart, Hays, Kan.
