She was born Dec. 3, 1891 in Pfeifer, the daughter of John and Anna Basgall.
She married John Degenhardt; he died in 1974. She was a member of Christian Mothers, the Altar Society and the Order of St. Francis.
Surviving: Eight children, John, dale, Sylvester, Victor, Adolph, Mrs. Clarence (Regina) Basgall and Mrs. John (Alvina) Bicker, all of Hays, and Walter, Great Bend; 32 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; Pfeifer Cemetery. Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 9-9 Tuesday. A church memorial service will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
