YAKIMA - Mary "Margie" Heilman, 93 of Yakima passed away on September 29, 2008 in the Parkside Nursing Home. Mary was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 29, 1915. Her parents were John and Eva Degenhart who immigrated from Germany. They settled in Sterling, Colorado where Mary and her brothers and sisters grew up.

In 1934 she married Alves Charles Brown and had 2 children: Myron L. "Mike" Brown and Alan C. "Bud" Brown. Mary was widowed in 1941. On February 5, 1946 she married Joseph Heilman and had two children: Joseph Lee Heilman and Barbara Jean Heilman.

Survivors include her son Moke and his wife Bonnie Brown of Camano Island, WA, daughters-in-law Mildred Brown, Fairbanks, Alaska and Donelda Heilman of Selah, WA, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and many great grandchildren.

Visitation can be made Friday October 3, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Keith & Keith 9th Avenue Chapel with Vigil services starting at 6:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday October 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
