Myron Lee Brown (Mike) passed away on December 27, 2021 after a fall causing a major brain injury. Mike was dedicated to his family and friends and very active in his community through Alcoholics Anonymous, Lyons Club and volunteering at the thrift store on Camano Island.

Mike was born in Toppenish, Washington on April 4, 1935. His Father passed away while jumping trains looking for work when he and his Brother Alan (Bud) Brown were small children. His Mother Mary remarried Joseph Heilman whom raised Mike and Bud as his own. Mary and Joe expanded their family adding two more children Joseph and Barbara.

Mike's family lived on a farm in Toppenish and farmed sugar beets and corn for Del Monte. Mike attended White Swan High School, prior to graduation he enlisted in the Air Force attending boot camp in Biloxi Mississippi. He was stationed at Lackland Airforce Base San Antonio after his deployment to the Island of Crete in Greece as a radio operator.

While Mike was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Bonnie (his future wife) and a couple of her friends were cruising the base when they caught the attention of Mike and his friend John. Mike and Bonnie were married July 5, 1956.

After marriage Mike and Bonnie moved to Pleasanton TX and welcomed their first child David in May of 1957, they then moved to Denver Colorado as Mike had been accepted to a Jesuit college that would accept a military GED. The death of Bonnie's Mother brought them back to Texas where they welcomed their second child Judy in December of 1960. Mike was accepted to the University of Houston and graduated with a degree in business.

Mike was offered a job at the Boeing Company which relocated the family to Washington State. Mike worked for Boeing for approximately a year and then landed a job with the City of Renton as Computer Programmer after which the couple eventually made their home in Issaquah Washington in 1965. While living in Issaquah, Mike met Kenny Kemp a local Contractor and gained employment framing houses, eventually starting his own framing business.

Mike and Bonnie loved to dance, travel, and spend time boating with their friends in the San Juan Islands and went as far as the Inside Passage into Canadian waters. They traveled with friends to Greece, China, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, and many other places. Their son David was very active in the equestrian community and participated in many dressage events around the state. The family also enjoyed camping, 4H club and Mike and Bonnie square dancing. The couple retired in 1996 to Camano Island where he built their home overlooking Port Susan and the Mt. Baker range.
