Mike Pfannenstiel, 79, 304 East 16th St., died today at St. Anthony Hospital after a long illness. Born on a farm near Munjor, he was a retired farmer, moving to Hays in 1958.

He married Eva Degenhardt Oct. 21, 1913. She survives.

Other survivors include nine sons, Victor, Eddie, Ted, Clarence, Frank, all of Hays; Julie and Walter, both of Longmont, Colo.; Paul, Victoria; Marvin, Dodge City; three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Marcella) Eickbush, Laramie, Wyo.; Mrs. Wendlin (Martina) Staab and Mrs. James (Aggie) Miller, both aof Hays; 54 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Klaus, Salina.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 18th and Milner. Burial will be in St. Francis Church Cemetery, Munjor. Friends may call at Brock's North Hill Chapel from 7:30 p.m. today until service time.
