Gorham -- Paul John Pfannenstiel, 54, died Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Russell City Hospital, Russell. He was born Dec. 13, 1929 at Antonino, the son of Mike and Eva (Degenhardt) Pfannenstiel.

He married Dorothy Anderson Dec. 19, 1974 at Russell.

He was a construction worker, a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Russell American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Paula Kuntzsch, Peggy Acheson and Penny Radke, all of Russell, and Pam Gideon, Lovell, Wyo.; two sons, Paul Jr and Peter, both of Great Bend; three stepdaughters, Kathy Hashenberger and Pat Bricker, both of Gorham, and Kay Hejny, Russell; two stepsons, Steve Karst, Gorham, and Ed Karst, Russell; seven brothers, Victor, Eddie, Clarence, Frank and Marvin, all of Hays, Julie, Billings, Mont., and Walt, Longmont, Colo.; three sisters, Martina Staab and Aggie Miller, both of Hays, and Marcella Eickbush, Laramie, Wyo.; and 18 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Clem Naef officiating; burial will be the Cross Plains Cemetery, with military graveside services by the Russell American Legion. A parish wake service and rosary will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 a.m. until service time Friday at Cline's.
