Aurora -- Carolyn K. Elge, 60, of Aurora died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Mrs. Elge was born on January 1, 1942 in Sterling, Colo. to Nick and Betty (Frank) Degenhart.


Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. The Rev. Craig Doty will officiate. Burial will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Higby- McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church.


She grew up in Yuma, Colo., and graduated from Yuma High School in 1960. She attended the University of Northern Colorado for two years. Mrs. Elge was a receptionist at Memorial Health Clinic for the last several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora, the Altar Society and the Parish Council.


She married Ron Elge on April 12, 1969 at St. Joseph's Church in Fort Collins, Colo. The couple moved to Aurora in 1970.


Survivors include her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Molly of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen and Tim Wiebe of McCook; her mother of Fort Collins, Colo.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyl and Tom Clark of Kingwood, Texas, Marlene and Herb Damm of Yuma, Colo., and Nita Kanan of Mesquite, Nev.; one brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Carolyn Degenhart of Albuquerque, N.M., and one brother-in-law, Jim Stenson of Red Feather Lake, Colorado.


She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Joyce Stenson.
