He married Barbara VonFeldt in April, 1941, in Hays.
He was a feed mill operator for the Co-op and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays. He had been a resident of the Highland Manor, McPherson, since December 1996.
Survivors include his wife, McPherson; a son, James G., Hays; four daughters, Fern Willson, McPherson, Gloria Callow, Platterville, Colo., Betty Ridout, Des Moines, Iowa, and Barb Henderson, Greeley, Colo.; two brothers, Jerry, Hays, and Bill, Denver; a sister, Mildred Dreiling, Hays; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Arnhold, and a grandchild.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with the Rev. Michael Suchnicki officiating; burial in the church cemetery. A vigil service begins at 7 p.m. today at Brock´s North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
