LeRoy George Degenhardt, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. LeRoy was born September 20, 1933, at Loretta, KS, the son of George and Margaret (Meier) Degenhardt.

He married Marilyn Gleissner June 6, 1955, at Olmitz. She survives.

Coming from La Crosse in 1955, LeRoy worked at Sears in deliveries for 14 years and at Fuller Brush in shipping and receiving for 27 yrs. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #862, and the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed polka music and fishing.

Survivors include, his wife, Marilyn Degenhardt of the home; five sons, Richard Degenhardt (wife Mary Degenhardt) of Great Bend; Kenneth Degenhardt and wife Cheryl of Garden City, Raymond Degenhardt and wife Cindy, David Degenhardt and wife Janet, and Daniel Degenhardt and wife Mary, all of Great Bend; a daughter, Darlene Stoss and husband Merlin of Great Bend; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lillian Weber; a brother, Don Degenhardt; and an infant brother, Harold Degenhardt.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Bryant Funeral Home, with Vigil service and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2020, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Don Bedore presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
