Michael Stegman Sr., 59, 919 N. 9th, died Tuesday at St. Catherine Hospital. Born April 11, 1920, at Sitka, Mr. Stegman had lived in Garden City in 1957.
He was a retired city street maintenance employee and had worked for the city 15 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ashland; V.F.W., Moose Lodge Eagles Lodge, all of Garden City.
Survivors include a son Michael Ray, 206 S. 3rd; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Hahn, Friend; four brothers, Henry, 919 N. 9th, Richard, Lyons, Gabe and Pete, Ashland; and one grandson.
Wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Garnand Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Jim Scrader officiating. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, the Rev. Ron Will officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery. Friends may call until service time Friday at the funeral home.
