At the age of 23 on May 11th 1847, Friedrike married Johann Heinrich "Henry" Gugler; with whom she had four known sons:

Johann Heinrich "Henry" Gugler, Jr 1857–1907
In 1853, The Gugler family emigrated to America; where Henry became a well-known metal steel engraver. He worked for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, D.C. and was the engraver of the famed life size Lincoln engraving.
In 1871, Henry and Friedrike joined their son in Milwaukee; where Henry start his own lithographing and engraving firm, H. Gugler and Sons, in Milwaukee in 1878.
After Henry died in 1880, Friedrike lived in Milwaukee; departing this life 22 years later in 1912.
