Mrs. Johanna Hartman, widow of Casper Hartman, residing at No. 719 Columbia avenue, died about 9 o'clock Wednesday evening from a complication of diseases, aged eighty-two years. She was born in Germany, but came to this country when only fifteen years old, and was a daughter of the late Simon Wolf. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. For years Mr. Hartman and her husband resided in Philadelphia, and, later, on Hartman's Island, in the Susquehanna River. Her only surviving child is Mrs. William Spangler, with whom she resided. The funeral will be held from the Sacred Heart Church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, interment being made at St. Mary's Cemetery. (Lancaster New Era - March 5, 1908)
