Dr. David L. Weatherford, 57, Nashville, Tenn., died at 8:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Centennial Medical Center following a brief illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home, with Greg Giltner officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A native of Mount Vernon, Ill., he was born July 20, 1952, the son of the late Billy Carl Weatherford and Jackalyn Adams Weatherford. He was child psychologist for the Centerstone Frank Lutton Center. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was a publisher, author and writer. Survivors include his brother, Charles Weatherford, Madisonville, Ky.
