Pauline Degenhardt Lang, 73, died Sunday, July 8, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was born Sept. 3, 1910 at Antonio, to Anton M. and Barbara (Unrein) Leiker.

She married Martin Degenhardt on Aug. 17, 1926 at Pfeifer. He died July 16, 1960. She later married Ben Lang; he died Mar. 6, 1975.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Father Gervase Degenhardt of York, Pa.; Martin Degenhardt Jr. of Pittsburg, Pa.; six daughters, Viola Sack, Esther Burgardt, Verna Schumacher, all of Hays; Dolores Herrman, Joyce Pfeifer, both of Liebenthal; Veronica Ditto of Everman, Texas; four brothers, Isidor Leiker of Victoria, Gerhardt Leiker, Aegidus Leiker, both of Hays, Julius of Gillette, Wyo.; five sisters, Eleanor Stecklein of Denver, Albertina Windholz of Wichita, Irene Boos of Ellis, Leona Abrams of Bell, Calif., Celestina Dolezal of Hays; 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren.

Brock's North Hill Chapel. Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Gervase Degengardt officiated; burial was in the church cemetery.
