Gertrude "Trudy" Bayley, 83, of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Sterling. Visitation will start at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Tennant Funeral Home, with Vigil and Rosary Evening Service starting at 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert L. Wedow celebrating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Trudy was born Jan. 21, 1929 in Sterling, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Sewald) Deganhart. Trudy graduated from St. Anthony's High School.
She married Richard W. Bayley June 25, 1950, in Sterling, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Trudy is survived by husband, Dick Bayley; daughter, Rebecca Becker; son, Skip Bayley; daughter, Debra Ringleman; daughter, Terri Robinson; son, Mike Bayley; daughter, Cathy Robinson; daughter, Jane Bayley; daughter, Vicki Scalva; son, Randall Bayley; brothers, Jack and Larry Deganhart; sister, Rosemary Schlenz; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Deganhart; brothers, John and Frank; sister, Helen Georing; and one granddaughter.
