Samuel G. Heid, 72, 2835 Mt. Zion Rd., died at 4:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7 in Bucyrus Community Hospital of a heart attack.

He was born Jan. 21, 1909 in Cadiz to Samuel Graden and Arminda (Embrey) Heid. March 5, 1935 he married the former Edith Leonhardt, who survives with one daughter, Miss Julia Heid, Lancaster, and one son, Eugene Heid, Bucyrus.

Also surviving is one grandchild and one brother, George Heid, Bucyrus. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Heid was a semi-retired farmer and lived in the community most of his life. He was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, with the Rev. John E. Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
