Surviving are her brother, Gene (Marjorie) Heid of Bucyrus, her nephew, Nathan (Christy) Heid of Oceola, her niece, Laura (Ryan) Powell of Bucyrus and her great nieces, Makyla Ferris and Whitney Powell of Bucyrus.
Julia graduated from Mt. Zion High School Class of 1958 and from Capital University in 1962 where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. She taught music at Belle Center School and also in Fairfield and Logan Counties. After moving to Lancaster, she worked at King's Department Store, the Big Bear Bakery, and Market Research in Lancaster. She was also a 4-H advisor for several years and played piano for several Churches. She moved back to Bucyrus 15 years ago and volunteered to play Piano at Good Hope Lutheran Church. She was employed several years with Chase Bank in Worthington, Ohio. Julia enjoyed her flowers, her pet cats, gardening, music, and was active with WELCOME ON WEDNESDAY at Good Hope Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 PM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday at 11 AM in Good Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. David Bliss officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
