Frederick Hasenpflug, the son of John H. and Mary Weis Hasenpflug, was born October 7, 1893 in Wayne County. He died Monday, Dec. 30 at the Creighton Care Centre at the age of 92 years, two months and 23 days.
The early part of his life was spent in Boyd County, where he attended school. In 1913 he and his family moved to Creighton.
On September 22, 1914 he married Ella Scheinost at Pierce. To this union four sons were born; Marvin, Bernard, Odell and Donald.
In 1922 Fred started working in the hardware store for Ed Healy and worked in the hardware business until 1949. In 1950 he started his own hardware store and worked there until 1981.
Survivors include his four sons, Marvin and Bernard of Creighton and Odell and Donald of Omaha; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella in 1954, five brothers, one sister and one great granddaughter.
