Willard Robert "Bob" Wigley was born May 7, 1919 in Waco, TX to Willard Robert Wigley, Sr. and Lucy Florence (Patten) Wigley. As a youth he worked in his father's furniture store. Bob attended Phillips Andover Academy and Princeton University where he was graduated with a degree in economics and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.


After college and during WWII enlisted in the Army Air Corps, achieved the rank of sergeant and trained allied airmen on the Link Flight Simulator. In 1947 Bob joined E. F. Hutton in Dallas and was made a General Partner in 1952 and later, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Bob retired as a Financial Advisor with Smith Barney in 2005.


Bob was very respected and served on the Board of Governors of the New York Stock Exchange, as a member of the Dallas Cotton Exchange, the New Orleans Cotton Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. Bob was a member of Brook Hollow Golf Club, Petroleum Club, Park City Club, Rolling Rock Club (Ligonier PA), Dallas Associates, and Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.


Bob is survived by his daughter, Florence Elisa Wigley of Florida, his grandchildren, Craig Clint Stiff and Susanne Christine Morrison, and son-in-law, Jon Morrison, all of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeweldeane "Jerry" McDonald Wigley, and his daughters Sherry Susanne Crow and Karen Grace Morrison.


The funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 19 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
