Norbert C. Schneider, 84, of N7699 Peebles Lane, Fond du Lac,died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002 at St. Agnes Hospital, following a short illness. His family was by his side.
Norbert was born Nov. 1, 1917, in Mount Calvary, a son of Victor and Frances Halfman Schneider. On May 19, 1941 he married Evelyn C. Pickart.
Norbert was a veteran of World War II, serving in the l0lst Infantry Division of the United States Army. Following the war,he owned and operated Skelly Service Station in Peebles for 16 years and was an employee of G&L until his retirement in 1983.
Norbert is survived by his wife of 60 years; five sons and six daughters, Ron and Mary Schneider of Brothertown, Joy and Gerry Nett of Stockbridge, Jackie and Paul Deanovich of Fond du Lac, Janice and Ken Nett of Charlesburg, Mutzie and Willie Carter of Colorado, Russ Schneider and his fiancee, Jean, of Mount Calvary, Rocky Schneider and his fiancee, Vicki, of Fond du Lac,
Rory Schneider and his fiancee, Reine, of Fond du Lac, Julie and Wilbert Sparks of Fond du Lac, Joelene Broennimann of Fond du Lac and Rodger and Jean Schneider of Lamartine; and one daughter-in-law, Martha Schneider of Taycheedah.
He is further survived by 39 grandchildren; five sisters, Olive Richter, Martha Laudolff, Francis Stubbe, Mary White, and Pat Pitler; and six brothers, John, Eddie, Tony, Victor, Leo and Jim Schneider.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister; four sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law; two sons, Randy and Rick Schneider; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation: Visitation for Mr. Schneider will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish-St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Peter.
Burial will take place in spring at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mount
Calvary. The staff of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family
