Vic served in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Okla. His baseball and softball career spanned 27 years, playing from 1951 to 1978. Vic played for many teams and in multiple tournaments throughout the Holyland and Fond du lac areas. He was inducted into the Fond du Lac Softball Hall of Fame in 2006.
Vic was a Teamster truck driver. He drove semi for Motor Transport Company and Gross Common Carrier, until his retirement in 1991. Vic had many interests which included hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed sturgeon spearing and golf. Vic was one of the original founders of Sturgeon for Tomorrow, a member of both Fisherman's Road and Pipe Fishing Clubs, Abler-Engel American Legion Post 454 in Mt. Calvary, and the Knights of Columbus Fond du Lac.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou; children, Thomas (Maryanne) Schneider of Thorpe, Wis., Betty Schneider of Fond du Lac, Nancy Schneider of Malone, Edward Schneider of Fond du lac, and Mary (Mark) Boettcher of Malone; six grandchildren, Danielle Lou (Jason) Muellenbach of Fond du Lac, Victor M. Schneider (Melissa Endries) and Chase Schneider, both of Fond du Lac, Sydney Schneider of Port Washington, Wis., and Samantha and Alex Boettcher of Malone; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Scarlet Muellenbach of Fond du lac. He is further survived by a daughter-in-law, Susan J. (Dan) Barnes of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Patricia Pittler and Mary White, both of Fond du Lac; a brother-in-law, William (Cathy) Casper of Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law, Bette Schneider and Carol Schneider, both of Fond du Lac; special friends Leroy (Stoney) Mengel of Oshkosh and Terry Flesch of Fond du Lac; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dennis "D" Schneider; Mary Lou's parents, Albert and Theresa (Langenfeld) Casper; siblings, Marie (Oral) Krug, Gregor Schneider, Norbert (Evelyn) Schneider, Ernest Schneider, Olive (Gerald) Richter, John (Marian) Schneider, Martha (Albert) Laudolff, Edward (Romilda) Schneider, Anthony (Sue) Schneider, Frances (Willard) Stubbe, Leo Schneider, Alois Schneider, James (Judy) Schneider, and an infant sister; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Pittler, Lee White, Robert Casper, Laura (Gerald) Braun, Betty (Elmer) Kraus, Donald (Celine) Casper, and Patricia (Dick) Fritz.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Liturgy of the Word will begin at 2:00 PM with Military Funeral Honors to follow. Cremation has taken place.
