Helen Boon Brothers, 88, a longtime resident of Raleigh and retired administrative assistant with the N.C. Geological Survey, died Sunday, September 26, 2004. She was a native of Wilmington, NC.
On June 17, 1976 she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Brothers, Sr., retired Wake County Tax Supervisor. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy O. Boon of Wilmington.
Survivors include her son, James M. Brothers, Jr. and his wife Joan of Raleigh and her grandson James M. ?Jimmy? Brothers, III of Franklinton.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington with Rev. Bob Bauman of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.
