Mollie B. Lauer, 73, 517 Denver St., Sterling, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Rose Arbor Nursing Home in Sterling.

Mollie Sewald was born in Sewald, Russia on June 14,1901, and with her parents came to the United States in 1906 settling at Montrose. In 1914 they moved to the Crook-Sterling area and into Sterling in 1970.

She was married to Albert M. Lauer on Jan. 24, 1921. He died in January, 1968.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Katherine Kalinowski of Sterling, Mrs. Mary Mollendor and Mrs. Mollie Sanger, both of Ovid, Mrs. Patricia Abts, both of Crook, and Mrs. Dorothy Stang of St. Francis, Kan.; six sons, John F. Lauer of Ovid, Jim Lauer of Gillette, Wyo., Peter and Albert J. Lauer of Sterling, Larry Lauer of Crook and Dick Lauer of Sedgwick, 5 sisters, Mrs. Mary Degenhart, Mrs. Gertrude Artzer and Mrs. Elizabeth Kloberdanz, all of Sterling, Mrs. Annie Bauer of Longmont and Miss Margaret Sewald of Wheat Ridge; two brothers, Peter Sewald of Fort Collins and Jake Sewald of Stockton. Calif.; 65 grandchildren, and 23 greatgrandchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary will be al 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Jones Chapel Mortuary, 330 S. 2nd St. Friends may call at the chapel until 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
