Phillipa Webber: On Tuesday of last week Phillippa Webber passed away after about a month's illness. Deceased was a native of Seymour, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Webber, who now reside in town. About thirty years ago she married John Phillips, who with two sons, William of Seymour, and Fred of town, survives. Besides her parents three sisters and one brother survive. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips lived in Percy for a short time, but most of their married life was spent in Seymour. About three years ago they moved to Campbellford. Deceased was a member of the Methodist Church and was an active worker in the Sunday School, the Women's Missionary Society and the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She was very popular in the neighborhood where she lived so long, and since coming to Campbellford made many friends. Besides the wreath by the family and the nurse, floral tributes were sent by the W.C.T.U., the W.M.S. and by Mrs. W. Kidd, a cousin of the deceased, who resides at Indian River. The funeral was held on Thursday, Rev. A.J.H. Strike officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
