Laura was born August 1, 1914 in Water Valley, Alberta to Sam and Harriet Laveck. She was one of 18 children – 10 girls and 8 boys.
Laura married Joe Kloberdanz on November 23, 1937. They lived in Water Valley until the early ‘60’s when they moved to Grande Prairie where they lived until their passing. They had 9 children, 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 10 or more great great-grandchildren.
Laura enjoyed cards, mostly Crib, which she had 2 - 29 hands. Gardening was another love of hers, along with berry picking and going for walks. If you ever had a piece of her homemade bread then you would know what heaven is.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Leo, Theresa, Sam (Donna), Susan (Bernard), Laura (Gordon), Irene, Clara (Phil), and Edith (Willy); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews whom she was in contact with to the end, and many others.
She was predeceased by her parents, 17 siblings, her husband Joe, son Tom, sons in-law Harvey and Melvin, grandson Steven, and great-granddaughters Ryleigh and Saylor.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 1:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Chapel in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave).
