Actress. She was an Italian Silent Film actress. The daughter of a veterinarian, at the age of 17 she began to attend companies of amateur theater, much to the opposition of her family. In 1908, she met actor and film director Luigi Maggi, who offered her to enter the production company of Ambrosio Film. She appeared in over 100 films for Ambrosio in the years before Italy entered World War I, mostly comedies, but also historical and dramatical pictures as well. Following the end of the war, her film career tapered off dramatically and she only played minor roles in the late 1960s, including Federico Fellini's film classic "Eight and a Half" in 1963. She died in a retirement home at the age of 99.
