Thomas (Tom) Leichtle, 80, passed away October 23, 2002, in a Salt Lake hospital.
He was born to Tom and Maclovia Alire Leichtle in Petaca, New Mexico on May 29, 1922. He married Dora Lucero on Dec. 18, 1941.
Tom retired from Kennecott Copper after 35 years of service. "He was the best husband, father, and grandfather. Tom was greatly loved and will be missed by many."
Survivors: wife, Dora; daughters, Betty (George) Johnson, Mae (Boyd) Edmund, Virginia (John) Bowers, Emergene (Ronald) Booth, Patricia (Jeff) Moran; son, Tom Moritz Leichtle; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great, granddaughter; (To all his grandkids he was their PoPo); brother, Abedon Leichtle; sister, Mary Leichtle.
Preceded in death by grandson, Mark Johnson; brother, Moritz; and sister, Olivama.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 28, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. or Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
