The Billings, Mont., native was the daughter of the late John Duncan McTavish and Jennie Johnson McTavish. She loved the Lord, was a strong biblical Christian, and was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren. She was leader of numerous Bible studies and was a member of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. She had a heart for children, always going out of her way to care for other children and encouraging parenting skills.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Mounce, married 60 years; a daughter, Teri Gundlach (Theodore) of Newport Beach, Calif.; four sons, Michael Bertuleit (Nancy) of Bowling Green, Bill Mounce (Robin) of Washougal, Wash., Dave Mounce (Gini) of Navarre, Fla., and Doug Mounce (Lili) of Seattle; a sister, Joan Bedini of Bethesda, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Service and burial will be at 2 p.m. May 5 at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona del Mar, Calif.
