Toledo Area Farmer Dies

A Toledo district farmer was stricken suddenly late Tuesday afternoon at a farm just north of Centralia, and Lewis county coroner Elmer J. Olson said his death was from natural causes.

The victim was Anton Brunner, 56. He collapsed while delivering a load of hay at the Ernie Kuper ranch. Brunner was born Aug. 26, 1897, in Schiederhoff, Austria. He had been a Cowlitz Prairie farmer most of his life. He was a member of the Francis Mission Catholic Church and the Cowlitz Prairie Grange.

Survivors are his wife, Hilda, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Chester Grauman, at home; Mrs. William Abel, Olympia; and Mrs. Frank John, Mrs. Paul Gary and Mrs. Richard Guenther, all of Chehalis; a son, Robert, at home; two brothers, John, Everett and Charles, Newberg, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Frank Keller, New York and 8 grandchildren.

Rosary will be said for the deceased Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock at St. Francis Mission.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis with Father Donald Gander, OFM, officiating. Burial will be in the Missions Cemetery.
