Melissa, 16, died April 26, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a student at Sand Creek High School and a hostess at the Texas Roadhouse Cafe.
Melissa was born Nov. 14, 1984, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Michael J. and Erin K. (Walstrom) Miles.
She is survived by her parents; a brother, Ryan; a sister Amber; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Just to add...About a month after our son Blaine Steele's funeral, he came to me in a dream. We were in a valley in the mist. He was holding hands with Melissa and they were both smiling. Melissa passed away the same day our son was killed.
