Joseph Viviano was born on Feb 20, 1919 in New York. He married Ann (Angie) Rini, daughter of Vito Rini (1888-1973) and Frances Monteleone (1892-1966) in Brooklyn, NY. He and Angie had two children; Joseph and Bernard Rini.

Joseph was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He served in the Pacific and fought in the bloody battle for Iwo Jima in February, 1945.

He died of cancer on Sep 6, 1973 in Winnetka, Los Angeles County, CA.
