Funeral at the Church of the Incarnation, 35th St and Madison Ave, NYC on June 26th. She died at her home in Saratoga Springs of pneumonia after being ill for a year. Her townhouse was at 23 W 50th ST, in NYC.
She was the daughter of Capt Martin H. Truesdell who commanded a Hudson River steamer. He died when she was four years old. Her mother, Jane, then married Simeon Fitch who adopted her and changed her name to Fitch.
She was survived by her son James Hazen Hyde, who had been living in Paris, France, since 1905 and Mrs Charles R. Scott, of 1149 Park Avenue.
