Ransom -- Philip E. Stegman, 83, died Sunday, March 30 at Grisell Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 16, 1896 at Pfeifer. He married Katherine Schmidt in 1915 at Ellis; she died in January 1943. He married Martha Eichman March 27, 1945 at Great Bend.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Leon and Kirby, both of Topeka, and Rocky, Dodge City; three daughters, Mrs. Jnell Dinges, Dodge City, Mrs. Phyllis Green, Brownell, and Mrs. Eleanor Wayt, Perris, Calif.; two brothers, Adam Stegman, Downs, and Ted Stegman, San Bernadino, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Julia Zerril, Clinton, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, the Rev. Bill Merriman; Brownell Cemetery.
