Isabel's husband was a candidate for the throne of Scotland but his rival, John Balliol, was elected King in 1292. When After Isabel's death in 1264, King John died in 1314, and Isabel's grandson, Robert the Bruce, became King of Scotland. Isabel's husband would marry a second time to Christina de Ireby but have no issue.
Note: Isabel has been left where her memorial originator placed her, but I will continue to search for documentation as to her burial.
