My GGGG Grandmother; Wife of John Wood, mother of Sarah (Hopson), Sylvester Wood, Ira Wood, Mary (Eastman), Sophia (Northup), Augustus B. Wood, Martha (Clark), and Margaret (Patrick). Daughter of Sylvester and Patience Pierce.

1855 & 1865 census lists birth place as Conn.

The following is an excerpt from the will of her father Sylvester Pierce:
Will (no 198-199) Sylvester Pierce Town of Durham Co of Greene, N. Y.

~Tombstone to be erected at my grave~ To my wife Patience use of all my property as long as she lives – after my said wife decease tombstones to be erected in her memory by my son Sylvester ~ to my ch'n (children)now living & to the kin of my dead son Amos, etc, my dead Dau Polly, who was wife of Charles Johnson dec'd (deceased) as follows: Ch'n(children) of my dec'd(deceased) son Amos ------ to my son Russel to heirs (?) my dau Polly dec'd (no name) ~ to my dau Martha wife of George Samph (?) – her--- to my son Cromwell, to my dau Huldah wife of John Wood to my dau Hannah wife of Micah Pierce- to my dau Patty wife of John Emy, ~ to my dau Mercy wife of Amos Cleveland ~ to my son Sylvester and to my dau Silence wife of Jonathon Russel ~ -- ~
