Jane A. Korponay, 83, of East Liverpool, Ohio, formerly of Springdale, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at her home. She was born March 21, 1928, in Sharpsburg, to the late Boleslaw and Mary Ann Pazucki Uminski and resided in the Springdale area most of her life. She was a former member of St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale. Survivors include two daughters, Rosemarie (Anthony) Pawloski and Janet Brooks, both of East Liverpool; son, Robert (Lory) Korponay, of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren; sister, Josephine Bytnar, of O'Hara Township; and brother, Edward Uminski, of Warrendale. Mrs. Korponay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex J. Korponay; a sister, Helen; and a brother, Walter Uminski. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Springdale at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday by her grandson, Tony Pawloski. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
