Rock Island Argus Monday August 6, 1934 p 8 Funeral services for Miss Emma Rice, 74 years old, 202 West Fif street, Davenport, who died at o'clock Saturday afternoon in Mercy hospital, Davenport, after a short illness, were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Runge chapel Davenport. Burial was in Chippiannock cemetery, Rock Island. Miss Rice was born in Massachusetts in 1860. She came to Davenport when a child and received her education there. She was a member of the Edwards Congregational church, Davenport. Surviving is a brother, Josiah L. Rice, Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Louis Gillette of Los Angeles.
