Amy Elizabeth Bartel, born September 24, 1981, passed away to be with her brother Nathan and the Lord on March 11, 2011. Amy's quick wit and smile were immediately endearing. She found her true calling serving others. She volunteered numerous hours at Memorial Hospital, helped with elementary reading programs, and helped her church feed the homeless. She attended Palmer and Mesa Ridge High School, and the University of Northern Colorado. She enjoyed bungee jumping, roller coasters, and playing hockey and golf with her brother. Amy loved to travel with her parents and experience new and adventurous places. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by family and all who knew her. She was our angel on earth and now in heaven. She is survived by her parents, Kimberly and Larry Bartel; grandparents, Phyllis and Leonard Bartel, Barbara and Robert Campbell; aunts and uncles, Karen and Lance Buckingham (Jason & Kristen), Nancy and Randy Katrades, Debra and Mark Schutte (Spencer & Parker), Christine and Scott Campbell (Cierra & Cody). Private services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pikes Peak Hospice.
