COUNTESS SIGRAY DIES IN NEW YORK

Hamilton, May 31 -- Countess Countess Sigray, youngest daughter of Marcus Daly, Montana copper magnate, died Wednesday at New York City, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Durston were informed. The countess is survived by her sister, Mrs. James W. Gerard of New York, and a daughter, Countess Margit Sigray, also in New York.

As Harriot Daly, the late countess spent much of her early life in her native Butte and often was in Hamilton when her mother opened the family home "Riverside" east of town, for summer months on the Bitter Root Stock Farm.

Her husband, Count Anton Sigray, died in New York after their return to this country from Budapest following the late war. The daughter visited here in 1947. Mr. Durston is manager of the Daly interests here.

Countess Sigray, the former Harriot Daly, youngest daughter of the Montana mining pioneer, the late Marcus Daly, died yesterday in her apartment at the Ritz Tower Hotel. Her husband, the late Count Antal Sigray, was a Royalist and anti-Nazi Hungarian leader.

MARCUS DALY'S DAUGHTER DIES

HAMILTON, Mont., May 31. Countess Harriot Sigray, daughter of Marcus Daly, Montana copper magnate and native of Butte, died today at New York City, it was learned by H. H. Durston, manager of the Daly interests here. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. James W. Gerard, and a daughter, Countess Margit Sigray, both in New York. Countess Sigray spent much of her early life in Butte and often came to Hamilton after her mother opened the family's summer home, "Riverside," on the Bitterroot Stock Farm, east of here.
