Mrs. Rebecca Cass, Pioneer Resident Of County, Is Dead
Mrs. Rebecca Landis Cass. 75, pioneer Sangamon county resident, died at 11 a.m. today at her home, 825 South Lincoln avenue, following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Cass, the widow of Scott Cass, retired farmer, has been a resident of Springfield the last 15 years, previously having lived with her husband on a farm in the vicinity of Buffalo Hart where she was born. He preceded her in death 10 years ago.

They were married Dec. 19, 1883, at Buffalo Hart. Surviving are a son, Scott Raymond Cass, Jacksonville, and three daughters, Miss Josephine Cass, at home: Mrs. John P. Utt, 1039 West Monroe street, and Mrs. William Wheeler. 2653 South Ninth street.

Remains were taken to Thomas C. Smith's Sons' funeral home.

Mrs. Rebecca Cass Funeral Rites Held
Last rites for Mrs. Rebecca Landis Cass, pioneer Sangamon county resident who died Tuesday morning, were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the residence, 825 South Lincoln avenue. Rev. H. W. McPherson, pastor of First M. E. church, officiated and interment was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
