Merklin (nee Bendickson), 91, will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. Born April 27, 1917, in Cooperstown, N.D., she died Tuesday, April 26, 2009, at Manor Care in Elk Grove Village. She was the wife of Milton; mother of Vicki Vesper; grandmother of Paul W. III (Debbie) Vesper, Tammi Wlodek, Dyan Rutkowski, Suzy (Pete) Skinder and Robert (Annette) Vesper; great-grandmother of 17; great-great-grandmother of two; and sister of Ralph (the late Mildred) Bendickson, Borgie (the late Howie) Stingel, the late Arthur Bendickson and the late Milo (the late Lillias) Bendickson.
