Writer and politician of the Radical Civic Union (UCR). He was one of the initiators of the systematic cultivation of olive trees in Argentina, and organized the mining of tungsten and bismuth in the northwest. On holiday in Italy, where he had been living playboy, met in Venice to the Austrian actress Martha Rosa Rossi Hoffmann, acting under the pseudonym Myriam Stefford. After a quick, passionate romance, August 28, 1930 they married. While not his best work, The Right to Kill became his most famous book and the " damn work" by excellence in Latin American letters. In late 1963 he published what is probably the highest point of his literary genius, the exceptional "Todo estaba sucio".

Cause of Death: He committed suicide after an violent argument with his second ex-wife.
