Van E. Allen, loved and known as "Pop" Allen, was born March 10, 1882, in Kansas. Later he moved to San Francisco, Calif., where he lived most of his life, working as a painter and interior decorator. Seven years ago, "Pop" retired and moved to Taneyville, which was his residence until he passed away October 28, in Skaggs Hospital in Branson at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 18 days.
"Pop" is survived by his wife Mollie, four sons, Ray, Milt,and Rob of San Francisco and Dale of Dallas, Tex.; and one daughter, Muriel Gottrell of San Francisco.
"Pop" was well liked by all who knew him and will be missed by his family and friends.
