Christian Marty, the pilot of the crashed Concorde, was a fighter. The same drive that pushed him to the top of the pilot's profession also made him an an avid sportsman who would hang-glide over volcano craters, ski the most difficult slalom courses and who, in 1982, became the first Frenchman to windsurf across the Atlantic.
