Jack West, 67, passed away at home with his loving family by his side Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in White's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home.
Jack was born Oct. 23, 1941, to Horace and Beula West. He was a longtime resident of Springtown. Jack was an avid horseman, loved to fish and supported his grandchildren in their activities and sports. He served his country in secretive, sensitve communications in the U.S. Navy. Jack was a journeyman electronic electrician for Lockheed for over 40 years.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Survivors: Wife, Carolyn of Springtown; sons, Jack West Jr. and wife, Rebecca, of Agnes and Sheldon West and wife, Espi, of Aledo; daughter, Gayla Shafer-Swortz and husband, John, of Springtown; sister, Mildred Bishop and husband, David, of Crowley; grandchildren, Chance and wife, Morgan, Britni, Jordon, Trent, Travis, Preston, Cassie, Colton, Chelsie and Kaylie Ann; and great-granddaughter, Cayleigh.
