Born in Roseburg, Oregon to Beulah and John Gardner of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Sister to William Nolen and Nelle Garrett. Mother of Frank Wood Jr., Valerie Wood Williams (who preceeded her in death), John Wood, and Ross Wood. Grandmother of 13 and life long resident of Redding, CA from 1948.

Obit: Graveside services for Marjorie Jean Wood, 72, of Redding will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Redding.

The Deacon Frank Lopez of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate.

Mrs. Wood died Sunday, Oct. 1, 1995, at Anderson Care Center.

Born Feb. 2, 1923, in Roseburg, Ore., she moved to Shasta County in 1938 from Klamath Falls, Ore.

She was a homemaker and a member of Redding Elks Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include sons Frank Jr. of Reno, Jonathan of Lakewood, Colo., and Ross Sr. of Redding; sister Nelle Garrett of Fort Thomas, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
