Jacob W. Weingardt, Longtime Resident of Sterling Area, Dies.

Jacob William Weingardt, aged, 69, died Sunday evening, March 10, at a local hospital, after a long illiness of over two months.
A resident of Logan County since 1909. He was born June 1, 1976 in Russia, and came to the United States in 1903. He lived in Pueblo, Colo. until 1906 whe he move to Garden City, Kansas. In 1980 he came to Sterling where he resided on a farm south of Pioneer Park.
Mr Weingardt married Katherine Applehans June 1, 1896 in Russia and was married a second time in 1930 to Eva Dagenhart of Sterling.
Mr. Weingardt is survived by his wife Eva, three daughters; Katherine Applehans of Sterling, Mary Haberkorn of Denver, and Elizabeth Baskall of Sterling; six sons, Frank of Longmont, Joe and Alex of Sterling, John, Paul and Jacob of Denver, 33 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o'clock, Monday evening March 11, and a 6 o'clock, Tuesday evening, March 12 at the home of Katherine Applehans 501 Hamilton Street.
The funeral in charge of the Randord Funeral Home, will be a 9 o'clock Wednesday morning March 13 at the St Snthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
