Mary Ailne Coble Maness, 100, born July 3, 1908, died February 8, 2009, in Barling, Arkansas, where she had resided in Catherine McAuley Convent and Retirement Residence, since February of 1999. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Aline was the daughter of George Frank Coble and Stella Ethel (Burney) Coble, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, and lived most of her life in the Springfield, Missouri area. She married Rev. Ralph E. Maness on September 14, 1929. They had four daughters. She retired from Producers Produce Company, where she was a stenographer. Ralph preceded her in death in October, 1981. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Adrian; a sister, Altha Claypool; two brothers, Allan and Ben Coble; and two infant granddaughters, Tamara and Lara McKenzie. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Alice Andres, Springfield, Missouri, Mrs. Carmen Lee and husband, Albert L. McKenzie, Organ, New Mexico, Sister Carolyn Maness, RSM, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Ralpha Aline Corrick, Overland Park, Kansas; three sisters-in-law, Nola Coble, Ash Grove, Missouri, Mildred Coble, San Antonio, Texas, and Irene Maness, Elk Creek, Missouri; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be conducted in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, Missouri, on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Nolan Carrier officiating, under the care and direction of Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. until service time, in the funeral home. No flowers are requested.
