Malcolm "Duncan" MacLeod, age 83,
passed away April 4, 2008 at the
Christian Health Care Center in Lynden.
He was born Dec. 24, 1924 on Lopez
Island to Malcolm & Mary (Higgins)
MacLeod. A WWII veteran, Duncan served
in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.
After being discharged from the army,
he attended Edison Technical School in
Seattle, and later opened up his own
Radio, TV and Appliance shop.

Duncan married Beverly in 1951, and
moved to Bellingham in 1954. In
Bellingham he worked at Mulhern's
Appliance Store, then Columbia Valley
Lumber Company. Over the ten years he
worked there, his family had grown to
include five children, and with two
more to come. In 1965 he was offered a
career at Xerox Corp. where he worked
until his retirement in 1990.

In his spare time, Duncan enjoyed
flying his antique Piper J-3 Cub. He
was a two term president of the Chapter
404 Experimental Aircraft Association.
He served over ten years in the Skagit
Squadron Civil Air Patrol, working up
the ranks from Communications Officer
to Commander. He was also a long time
member of the Bellingham Central Lions
Club.

Duncan is survived by his wife.three sons,four daughters, and three sisters. He is also survived by eight
grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Westford
Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10 from
11 AM–12:30 PM, followed by a Funeral
Services at 1 PM. A reception will
follow across the street at Westford's
Broadway Hall, followed by burial at
Greenacres Cemetery.
